Erin Stone - Soprano
Erin Stone is a graduate from the University of Western Ontario where she completed a Bachelor of Music and an Artist Diploma in Voice Performance. Roles performed while at Western include "Cis" in Britten's Albert Herring, "Pamina/Giuletta" in The Opera Gala, "Daedalus" in Ariadne’s Thread, and "Min/Grace" in The Midnight Court. In 2005 Erin won first place at the NATS Ontario Chapter Auditions for her age group, and Most Promising Upper-Year University Singer. Erin’s solo symphonic performances include Handel’s Messiah and Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio with the International Symphony Orchestra, and as a winner of the Concerto Competition at the University of Western Ontario, Sieben Fruhe Lieder by Alban Berg, and Symphony #4 by Mahler with the UWO Symphony Orchestra. In 2007 Erin performed Otello with the Opera Lyra Chorus at the National Arts Centre, and “Beatrice” in Beatrice Chancey with the Queen of Puddings Songs and Scenes programme. Most recently, Erin has appeared as a fairy in Iolanthe with Toronto Operetta Theatre and First witch in Dido & Aeneas with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre.
