Justin Ralph - Tenor
Originally from Ottawa, Justin made his Toronto debut as St. Brioche in Toronto Operetta Theatre's THE MERRY WIDOW at the age of 19, and has frequently appeared on stages through-out the city since. Most recently, Justin performed the roles of Nanki-Poo in Gilbert and Sullivan's THE MIKADO with North Toronto Players, Eisenstein in a bar set version of Strauss' DIE FLEDERMAUS, and Dr. Blind in Toronto Operetta Theatre's Kennedy era version of the same operetta.
On the operatic stage, Justin most recently appeared as Alfredo in Verdi's LA TRAVIATA. He has also played the roles of Jupiter in Handel's SEMELE, and Ferrando in Mozart's COSI FAN TUTTI, both with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre. On the concert stage, Justin has appeared in over five productions with Opera in Concert, including playing the role of Hervey in Donzetti's ANNA BOLENA, and also premiering the role of Robert in their workshop of Wilson's KAMOURASKA. He had the honour of working with Sir David Willcocks as an ensemble member and the tenor soloist in LUX PERPETUA with the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, and spent a season as a Sidgwick scholar with the choir. Recently, Justin appeared as the tenor soloist in the Annex Singers' concert CHORAL MASTERWORKS.
As a soloist for private functions, Justin has had the honour of working for the National Club, the Kiwanis Foundation of Toronto, the St. Andrew's Society, and the Loyal Societies of Toronto.
