Stefan Fehr - Tenor

Stefan Fehr is excited about returning to Opera Nuova in 2011 where he will bow as Fabrizio in The Light in the Piazza. This past November, Stefan appeared as Dickson in Toronto Opera in Concert’s La Dame Blanche. Last summer, Stefan bowed as Bénédict in Berlioz’ Béatrice et Bénédict, as well as Dr. Caius in Verdi’s Falstaff at Opera Nuova. Stefan has been a young artist with the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts, Summer Opera Lyric Theatre in Toronto, the Canadian Operatic Arts Academy, Opera on the Avalon, and the Halifax Summer Opera Workshop. In the U.S., Stefan has also been a young artist with Seattle Opera and Opera North. Stefan’s 2010 season began with the role of Gabriel von Eisenstein in Opera Kitchener’s production of Die Fledermaus. In February of 2010, he performed the role of Wind in Toronto Operetta Theatre’s production of Telgmann’s Leo, The Royal Cadet. Also last season, Stefan appeared as Sir Bruno Roberton in Bellini’s I Puritani with Toronto Opera in Concert. Recently, Stefan participated in Alexina Louie’s new Political Opera which will appear on screen in 2011.
