Casual Opera for Casual Listeners

Rubato is an opera co-op, a group of talented young opera singers, dedicated to bringing classical music to new and varied urbanite audiences. Performing out of local bars and pubs, the group brings opera, art song, and music theatre to a casual setting.

Rubato's next concert is taking place at Harbord House on Monday, June 14th at 7:30 PM. In celebration of our one year anniversary, this event is looking to be our most exciting concert yet. Repertoire is going to range from the opera scenes of Verdi and Puccini to the delightful tunes of Rodgers and Hammerstein. As always, food and drink will be served through out the performance, and admission is by donation. What better way to usher in the summer then enjoying a pint while listening to the beautiful ballads of Mozart and Mahler?
